Andrew GathechaTeam Lead, Kenya
Andrew Gathecha serves as ASI team leader for AgResults Kenya On-Farm Storage Pilot and has more than 15 years of experience in agriculture, health, finance, and administration. As part of the USAID-funded Kenya Horticulture Competitiveness Project, he oversaw 55 farmer organizations, exporters, agribusinesses, government departments, and NGOs producing crops worth $18 million. Prior to this, Andrew served as director of operations with Management Services for Health and as director of finance and administration with Global Communities where he administered a $30 million grant pool. Additionally, he has worked at Aga Khan Foundation, Air Serv International, The People newspaper, and Vitacress Kenya. Andrew holds a master’s of business from Edinburgh Business School of Heriot-Watt University and a bachelor of arts in business and economics from Kenyatta University; he is pursuing his doctor of philosophy in business administration from the University of Newcastle. |
