International Women's Day is celebrated March 8th around the world. In 2012, the day happened to be Holi—the festival of colors in India. The women of Shakti Mahila Sangathan, an organization of women farmers in the district of Pratapgarh of Uttar Pradesh, celebrated in the spirit of the day on March 20th. They organized a conference called "Voices of Change" to share their struggles, their joys, their strengths, and their determination.
